Tips for engine longevity

Avoid heat

Avoid rebellion

The engine cylinder gasket cannot be installed upside down during installation, otherwise it will cause premature ablation and damage to the cylinder gasket; the engine fan blades cannot be installed upside down; for tires with directional patterns and herringbone pattern tires, the ground mark after installation should make the herringbone tip point toward the rear.

Avoid dirt

If accessories such as fuel filters, oil filters, air filters, hydraulic oil filters, and various filters are too dirty, the filtration effect will deteriorate. If the water tank radiator, air-cooled engine block and cylinder head radiator, cooler radiator and other parts are too dirty, it will lead to poor heat dissipation and excessive temperature.

Avoid shortcomings

Engine valve lock plates should be installed in pairs. If they are missing or missing, it will cause the valve to lose control and damage the piston and other parts. Once the anti-loosening devices such as cotter pins, locking screws, safety discs or spring washers installed on the engine connecting rod bolts, flywheel bolts, and drive shaft bolts are missing, they may cause serious malfunctions during use. Once the oil nozzles used to lubricate the gears in the engine timing gear chamber are missing, it will cause serious oil leakage there.

Avoid washing

The paper air filter element of the engine cannot be cleaned with any oil; the leather parts should not be cleaned with oil either.

Avoid oil

If the paper filter element of the engine dry air filter is stained with oil, it is easy for the mixture with a higher concentration to be sucked into the cylinder, resulting in insufficient air volume, increased fuel consumption, and reduced engine power. If the triangular tape is stained with oil, it will accelerate its corrosion and aging. Brake shoes, dry clutch friction plates, brake bands, etc. are stained with oil, which will threaten driving safety. Tire rubber is very sensitive to corrosion by oil, and contact with oil will cause the rubber to soften or peel.

Avoid pressure

If the tire casing is stored under pressure for a long time and is not turned over in time, it will be deformed due to extrusion; if the paper filter elements of the air filter and fuel filter are extruded, they will not be able to filter; rubber oil seals, triangular tapes, oil pipes, etc. cannot be extruded either.

Avoid duplication

Some accessories should be used, but individual drivers or repairmen reuse them in order to save or because they do not understand the "taboos". This can easily lead to accidents.

Rubber products such as tires, triangular tapes, cylinder liner water rings, and rubber oil seals will easily age, deteriorate, or be damaged if they are close to a fire source. On the other hand, they may also cause fire accidents.
